Spanish translation of lyrics for How Great Thou Art by Amira. O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made I see
How great Thou art! And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze. He bled and died to take away my sin. And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. And then proclaim, "My God, how great Thou art!"

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee, How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Scripture References: all st. = Ps.121 st. 3 = Heb. 12: 1-2 st. 4 = 1 Thess. 4: 16-17. This text has an international history. Its first source is a Swedish text by Carl G. Boberg ("O store Gud"-"O great God"), who wrote its nine stanzas one summer evening in 1885 after he had admired the beauty of nature and the sound of church bells.
A fairly literal translation from Swedish into English. In the early 1920's, English missionaries, Mr. Stuart K. Hine and his wife, ministered in Poland. It was there they learned the Russian version of Boberg's poem, "O Store Gud", coupled with the original Swedish melody.
